Disable Unused Icons Notifications

Windows XP users will be annoyed when Windows start then there will be a notificatin on system tray that you have unused icons. This notification will ask if you need help to clean your desktop. If you are disturbed with this notification and want to make it disappear, please do as follows :-

  1. Right click on desktop space.

  2. Choose ‘Properties’, Then click ‘Desktop’ tab.

  3. Click ‘Customize Desktop’ and uncheck box ‘Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days’

  4. Click OK to close all dialog box.

Then, the Unused Icons Notification will not show to make you annoyed anymore.

    I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Disable Unused Icons Notifications, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
