Security+ Guide to Networking Security Fundamentals

Review
“End of chapter hands-on projects are terrific. Not only do these activities have students physically making changes to machines, but it forces them to pay attention to choices that they and the users that they will support have to make.” – Barbara Belon, Norwalk Community College”The strengths of Chapter 1 are ease of reading and straightforward approach. The terms are well-defined, and the examples are great.” – Keith Morneau, Capella University

Completely rewritten to include Microsoft Windows Server 2003 coverage and other cutting-edge technologies, this best selling text will ensure your students’ success on CompTIA’s latest Server+ Exam.

    Better than some newer books
I wish this author would come out with a third edition of the book, since the CompTIA Security+ test that it tracks to has changed twice since this book was published.

    Security+ Book
This is a pretty good book. I’m taking the course at a Community College and bought the book online since it wasn’t available in the bookstore.

    Incorrect “facts” and poor organization
I have only made it to chapter 6 of this book and just glossing over most of it at that and here are some glaring mistakes I have seen so far.

    Not For The Timid
The advances in technology have opened doors for the unscrupulous. This book can help prepare you for the Security+ exam but shouldn’t be relied on as the only resource.

  8. Badu says:

    Security+ Networking Book
Book arrived on time as stated by sender in very good condition at a very competive price. I saved $40 than if I would have bought the same book as the college bookstore.

Don’t list books on back order
The book was on back order, I was not notified until I inquired after two weeks. I should have been notified immediatlely or the book should not have been shown as available.

  10. Sabina says:

    Good book….but to expensive
As a student who is just starting to become familiar with security concepts I have found this book to be great guide towards getting my security+ certification.
